Shanghai Walk on May 16
It was one of the Saturday in Shanghai, which I decided to take another round in Shanghai walking around and taking their transit to tour the city. I’ve gone to Long Hua Temple (龙华寺) which located not far from Shanghai South Railway Station by taking Line no.3 metro. Upon arriving to the temple, one can clearly see its famous landmark, Long Hua Pagoda(龙华塔).
Huge group of people come to the temple pray for blessing and their wishes. After praying, the public will hang the red ribbon similar to that one in the photo on strings provided by the monks.
I even shot some flowers which I found in the temple compound. 🙂
The kid in the photo has been trying hard to make a wish by throwing his coin into the Wishing Ding (许愿鼎), Chinese Vessel, and he got it after so many tries. The joyful expression of him is definitely worthy of the wait I’ve been standing beside him for the whole time :P.
After getting the ticket, I went to Daning area, which is even further up to the northern area in Shanghai to get my lunch at around 4pm. After the meal, went to walk around the Daning Lingshi Park (大宁灵石公园), and went back to hotel for a shower. After a short rest, i came out again taking Metro Line No.2 to Pudong (浦东) area to get my dinner and did another round of walking tour to catch the night scene of Pudong.
