White Christmas at Willamette Pass, Oregon
First-ever White Christmas!!! Drove 400+ miles to Willamette Pass in Oregon all the way from Folsom in California. A planned trip to meet up former colleagues from Malaysia whom are currently staying in Bellevue, Washington, in the middle of Folsom and Bellevue. Chose this places as its look interesting and nearby to a ski area.
Started off 6.15 am in the morning in Folsom on the 23rd, it was with crazy weather all the way :p. It was raining all the way to I-5 N and when the altitude gets higher, the raining became snowing, and chains had to be put on. Took me 30 min to put it on in the rain on I-5. The whole driving trip took me 11 hrs to reach Willamette Pass Inn, where we’re supposed to stay for the vacation.
Calling it a night after dinner. And after a night, our vehicles were covered in thick snow.
For the first day, we went for skiing!!! It’s our first time skiing 🙂
We skied for the whole day until 4 pm, and stopped by the Diamond Peak Vista Point on the way back to our inn.
When we got back, we made our Christmas Dinner!!!
For the next day, we went back to the ski area to take some photos and walk around. Was busy playing the ski equipment the first day 😛
We went to the nearby Crescent Lake for some photos. My camera got all fogged up, however, the effect looks pretty nice though 🙂
After this short trip to Crescent Lake, we went back to the inn and start making our first snowman!!!
