Folsom Prison Blues

“I hear the train a comin’
It’s rollin’ ’round the bend,
And I ain’t seen the sunshine,
Since, I don’t know when,
I’m stuck in Folsom Prison,
And time keeps draggin’ on,
But that train keeps a-rollin’,
On down to San Antone….”

Folsom Prison Blues, a famous songs by Johnny Cash that has made Folsom Prison famous itself. I took a casual drive around the old town of Folsom and came across the entrance into Folsom Prison, located quite closely to Folsom City Hall.

They have interesting items on display, including a ferries wheel made from toothpicks by inmates, and it’s almost 60 years old.
